Cooling water entering the tower: Hot water enters the water tank of the evaporative cooling tower through a pipe, and then is pumped into a distribution pipe on the top of the tower, which distributes it horizontally to the sprinklers on the tower.

Spray water: The sprinkler uniformly sprays water onto the packing layer inside the tower body, forming a thin water film within the packing layer. The surface area of the water film is large, and the water and air are in full contact.

Evaporation: When air passes through the filler layer, the water in the water film is evaporated due to the action of a fan, and the water vapor carries away some of the heat. At the same time, the temperature of water decreases during evaporation, thereby achieving the purpose of cooling.

Discharge of hot water: The cooled water is discharged from the bottom of the tower and recirculated through a water pump to continuously circulate and cool the circulating water.

Function of filler: The function of filler is to increase the surface area of water evaporation, accelerate the evaporation rate of water, and increase the cooling effect. To sum up, an evaporative cooling tower is a device that reduces water temperature by utilizing the principle of water evaporation and heat absorption. The key is the design of sprinklers and fillers to enable full contact between water and air, thereby achieving water evaporation and taking away heat.
